Pioneering Clean Water Solutions
  Reverse Osmosis Technology is 60 years old. During these last 60 years, this technology has proven to be the simplest, least expensive, and most reliable method for desalinating high- salinity water. Over the last 30 years, Jacob’s well engineers have designed, fabricated, installed, and commissioned over 4600 Units in 47 countries. These systems have been specifically designed for all purified water applications ranging from packaged water production, agriculture, bio culture, and municipal, to electronics, medical research, and aerospace applications.

  Currently, West Texas agriculture is in jeopardy due to the lack of low-cost clean water. The only water available in the area is ponds created by rainfall, and water from aquifers. The issue in this area is the salinity of water in the Aquifers. Pacific Ocean seawater contains 36,000 Parts Per Million total
dissolved solids. These aquifers contain dissolved solids between 40,000 and 55,000 Parts Per Million total dissolved solids. This means that the cattle and animals in the area are better off drinking sea water than the water from local wells.

  For this reason, the engineering team at Jacob’s Well has designed a desalination system specifically designed to purify West Texas Aquifers. This system will extract water from the aquifer and convert it into two streams of water. 60 percent of the water extracted will become potable water suitable for drinking and cooking. The other 40 percent will become a high-salinity, clean brine which can be sold for fracking applications. The sale of the brine from the system will greatly offset the cost of the desalination system itself.

  Utilizing this proven technology, potable water can be supplied to the public and to live stock at a fraction of the cost associated with having to truck the water to various sites.
